Secondary 4 Activities for All-Round Development— ‘Silence speaks louder’ experiential workshop

Date: 12/04/2021

On the day of Other Learning Experiences (2020-2021), S4 students took part in a team building workshop held by ‘Dialogues in The Dark’ at school. The activities included:

‘Miming game’

The miming game, which only allowed students to express themselves through body language, was used to help students understand the importance of verbal communication and visual cues in our daily conversations, enabling them to respect individual differences, nurture empathy and improve their communication skills.

‘Silence in the Dark Experiential Workshop’

Students were divided into different groups. Each group was responsible for leading a blindfolded team member to walk around the school campus. Through this activity, the students were able to experience the blind’s difficulties and physical limitations. Besides, it also raised the awareness of the guides, who led the blind folded teammates, on the location of the barrier-free facilities on campus, allowing them to nurture empathy and learn the right way to get along with the disabled.
