The Opening Ceremony of Microsoft AI Inno Lab

With the support of Microsoft Hong Kong, Yuen Long Merchants Secondary School established the second Microsoft AI Inno Lab in Hong Kong and the opening ceremony was held on 20th November 2021. Microsoft AI Inno Lab provides ‘AI for Good’ initiative and enables technology to empower our students to solve global challenges of the environment, health, world population ageing, accessibility, sustainability and cultural heritage.

We extend the use of AI Inno Lab to subjects other than STEM and promote AI applications across curriculum. Our school-based curriculum emphasizes on using AI for good and make our lab different from others. For example, working out IOT solutions for regenerating traditional industries in the era of Industry 4.0 ; building AI age-friendly products with design thinking. The supporting organizations of this Microsoft AI Inno Lab are Microsoft Hong Kong, AiTLE, China Mobile Hong Kong, Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and the Hong Kong Institute of Marine Technology.
